Garden litter

This is kind of gross, but in light of the recent macro discussion I thought I would add it to my folder to demonstrate the magnifications attainable with a C5050Z and Jens Birch's method of lens adaptations.

I knew I had some carpenter ants in the house and even though they can do the same damage as termites, I was too complacent about removing them until I saw an ant walking across a paper on my desk, then stop and turn around to look at something. He then walked away. It was so small I couldn't figure what that little dark spot was on the paper so I took this super-macro. After I saw what it was, I rolled up the edges of the paper so I could dump it outside without it rolling off the paper. But... alas.. it became airborn as soon as I picked up the paper. Realizing that I could be breathing this stuff finally got my attention. Within minutes I had called an exterminator.
